Provider Directories and Access to Care

Provider Directories and Access to Care

May 12, 2020

For years, inaccurate provider directory data has been a concern for the healthcare industry - causing frustration for health plans and providers, and potentially creating barriers to care. As CAQH highlighted in the white paper The Hidden Causes of Inaccurate Provider Directories, one of the causes of directory errors is the administrative burden practices face when responding to a high volume of health plan requests for information and updates.

Now more than ever, providers and practices need to dedicate all available resources to patient care rather than administrative processes.

Developed in collaboration with CAQH member health plans, DirectAssure® improves the quality of provider data in health plan directories by simplifying the data collection and evaluation process. The intuitive, easy to use platform enables providers to submit or review existing practice, program and plan affiliation information against previously supplied data to update or approve accordingly. Powered by information provided by more than 1.6 million providers, physicians can now update and house their professional data in one location and disseminate to specified health plans as needed.
